QuestionDoes this laptop come with fans built in?

- Answer No, the MacBook airs don’t have fans to keep them so thin, the M1 version was able to keep full workload without needing them and over heating, the M2 on the other hand will thermal throttle but with a very heavy workload about 5-10 min in. I would suggest the review by MKBHD on YouTube for more information.

- Answer I think you have to order directly from Apple to get the additional 8gb I returned mine from Best Buy and got it through Apple FYI the upgrade is an additional $200 which is insane for only an additional 8gb of RAM

- Answer Macbooks are not locked (since NONE have a cellular connection built in) and should work in any country but you'll have to provide your own mobile connection in any country e.g. from your cell phone as a hotspot.

- Answer I bought an Open Box and the Apple warranty had started from the initial purchase date (from the original purchaser). This reduced the Apple warranty by about 3 weeks from the 1 year for me. Thus I got about 49 weeks of the Apple warranty (vs. 52). Best Buy apparently will make up the rest of the year since your purchase but that won't help you in India. Of course you can add AppleCare+ to give you longer Apple warranty cover just as any Apple purchaser can. TL/DR - you should get most of your Apple warranty with whatever international privileges that offers but will depend on how long the machine has been sitting open boxed. Best Buy will make up the rest (in the US).

- Answer There is a 1 year manufacturer warranty that covers the software. If you purchased AppleCare, it could be a 2 or 3 year plan that covers the physical components, hardware and software.

- Answer It is not...Mac doesn't support touchscreen, however they are working towards giving their iPad a more desktop-like experience.

QuestionI noticed looking thru the older model m1s that they have a list if programs that come preinstalled on the laptop. I was just wondering if garageband nd the video editor are already preinstalled on this model of the macbook air? or do I need to buy them?

- Answer Yes, they were on mine. I removed them as they aren’t something I’ll ever use, but they are part of Mac OS’s built in suite.
