The M2 certainly provides enhanced processing speed especially when paired with 16GB RAM. I would say it depends on what you are using the MacBook for. If you intend to use it for every day tasks such as Microsoft Office applications, internet browsing, streaming, etc. then the 8GB RAM should be sufficient enough. If you intend to do a little more such as video editing, photo editing, or any substantial rendering then I would recommend the M2 with 16GB RAM. Any professional video editing software, photo editing software, or other advanced software, I would look into the M2 Pro editions. Hope this helps!
