• All Apple products come with new or somewhat new version of MacOS preinstalled. If the version is not up to date, it will prompt you to update it once you set up the computer.

• The MacBook 13" with touch bar comes with the current iOS operating system, or the latest when it was assembled. Download of newest software updates are always free with Apple products. The computer comes with Apple's iLife package which includes a whole bunch of great tools. iPhoto, iMovie, iDVD, Pages (which is like the Microsoft Word), Numbers (similar to Excel), etc. No need to spend time with the Geek Squad to install any of these programs. Not sure what you meant by "software". If you have a particular software that you need, I am sure they have an Apple version that can be purchased separately.
