Open box items are generally really good deals if you can have some patience and find ones that are well priced. I've gotten iPads and just recently got my MacBook Pro as an open box certified item. If it's certified, then it goes through a bit more of an extensive processes of making sure it's pretty much like new. I try to stick to excellent or excellent-certified open box items, but you can take your chances with good and fair conditions. I saved about $300 on the new MacBook Pro with a touch bar and extra memory. Apple warranty is still applicable for one year and decided to get apple care in case I have any issues within the next three years.
