This i5 is a newer generation with a higher clock speed and more cores/threads.

The i5 in your 2010 MacBook Pro is Intel's 1st Gen Arrandale i5 dual-core processor running at 2.53GHz. The i5 in this 2020 MacBook Pro is Intel's 10th Gen Ice Lake quad-core processor running at 2.0GHz.

The generation. This generation of chip is 10th gen and will absolutely smoke any previous generation including i7s

It's faster and more better it has good CPU It has great sound but the USB adapter comes with ur Samsung otg works on it like type c to USB For my time machine backup
