QuestionWhat is the difference between this computer and $1,799 model that was also released in 2019?

- Answer It has a more powerful processor (2.4 ghz vs 1.4) and 4 thunderbolt 3 usb c Ports instead of 2. Turbo boost brings the processor speeds to nearly identical standards so now that the lower end models have a Touch Bar, the only difference that would be noticeable to the average person is the amount of ports

- Answer I would go with a MacBook Air, Kaity. If you’re mostly doing online courses and web browsing, the Air is more than sufficient. The Pro would be useful if you’re in a photography or online video editing class that would require more power. Good luck and have fun in college!

- Answer I bought the Pro because I could. My cousin has the Air and he’s an Economics major, he says Air does everything he needs it to. Ultimately, you should write down everything that you would need to use, and see if both computers are able to do what you need it to do. Both are reliable and sturdy. The Pro just has more “cool” features.

- Answer this model has retina display 2560x1600 not 1299x1499. It has touchbar having many shortcuts (customizable) alongwith T2 touch ID. no more passwords, just touch like old iphones and good to go. Much better new processor.

- Answer The new 16 inch MacBook Pro was released with Catalina. I’m pretty sure this model ships with Mojave. But no matter what, Catalina will be available with a software update.

- Answer I believe there's a limit of one per person. Perhaps you could buy another one at a different BB store? Note this week's price drop to $1299. If you bought one for more for Christmas you can take your RECEIPT (you don't need the computer itself) and they'll refund the difference between the price you paid and the sales price. Policies like that are why I keep buying everything at Best Buy !

- Answer It is quiet. I’ve never noticed any noises coming from it except sound from the speakers. After getting it with AppleCare and taxes it will run you closer to $2k though so you might want to rethink your budget. Cheers
