I bought the Pro because I could. My cousin has the Air and he’s an Economics major, he says Air does everything he needs it to. Ultimately, you should write down everything that you would need to use, and see if both computers are able to do what you need it to do. Both are reliable and sturdy. The Pro just has more “cool” features.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am doing my MBA and I bought the Pro on 8/2. I like the overall feeling more than the Air, it also runs cooler than the Air. Over the long term I expect the Pro to hold up better than the Air. Keep in mind, for the MacBook air you must upgrade to the i5 model to get a quad core processor; the i3's are not quad core, only dual core.
