I bought this for use with an iMac. It came with a smaller keyboard that didn't have the numeric keypad like this one. The wireless apple mouse would be enough since you macbook Air already has a built in keyboard

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a MacBook Pro laptop and purchased a separate keyboard recently. Yes, the MacBook Air and Pro have built in keyboards but I found that I needed to raise the laptop for the screen to be eye level so that I reduced strain on my neck and shoulders. When raising the laptop was done (using a Lamicall laptop riser platform) the keyboard was no longer at a level that was usable. Purchase of the bluetooth keyboard now allows me to position the keyboard properly for use to reduce wrist fatigue. The built-in laptop keyboard was also too far away from a comfortable position due to the large trackpad before the keyboard. So, it was a win-win. I should have purchased it a year ago...
