It gives you both ways to charge it, which I love because one is the cord with an extension to plug into to outlet, the other is the tip that goes into the mac directly without using the large cord. A little hard to explain, but they both can be used and great to have.

Please try again later.I spoke with an associate months ago regarding the replacement of my original charger and the associate recommended the in correct charger so I called apple and the representative recommend the correct charger. The first charger kept over charging my battery.
