• This is the original MagSafe power adapter and absolutely will NOT fit a 2012 Retina display 15" MacBook Pro. That model needs a MagSafe 2 power adapter (they have different connectors on the end which connects to the MacBook Pro).

• It should. Just go to the Apple website and plug in your model number - you can find that "about this Mac."
