• The short answer is “no”. However this charger relies on Apple’s proprietary built-in magnet array dubbed MagSafe. That being said you’ll want to go naked or with one of Apple’s official MagSafe cases for the best experience. Ultra-thin cases from 3rd party manufacturers should work too but you may see slightly slower charging speeds.

• No, it uses Qi on the phone half, which is the wireless standard. It will charge any iPhone that has wireless charging (since the iPhone 8).

• No. As long as you do not put a otterbox or equivalent thick case, charging with regular case (thin plastic/leather) should work fine.
