No. It does work with older iPhones but it has to be an iPhone 8 or newer, an iPhone 6s is not able to wirelessly charge, MagSafe or not.

Yes. However, the Magsafe feature will not automatically align the charging pad to your phone, or keep it connected. You will need to center your phone, and leave it on a flat surface to charge.
