• The Apple Pencil 1st Gen with a lightning to usb-c adapter will work for a 10th generation iPad as will the new Apple Pencil usb-c

• Only the 1st generation Apple Pencil works with the iPad 10th generation. Because of the placement of the cameras on the inside, there was not enough room for the magnets required on the inside to charge the Apple Pencil 2nd generation

• The Apple Pencil 1st generation. You will need a usb-c to Apple Pencil adapter that isn’t included to pair the two devices to each other. Unfortunately, Best Buy doesn’t carry it but a search of USB-C to Lightning female adapter should lead you to come options.

• Hello, I checked both on the Best Buy and Apple websites and it mentions that the new iPad 10th generation is only compatible with the Apple Pencil (1st Generation).
