Needs to be a 'pro' version
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Did you lay it on top the iPad to charge it first? It has a battery life, and needs to be charged up before first use. Place it magnetically on the long side where the volume button is, and you should see a symbol showing it is charging. The common reasons why it will not pair are: 1. Low or no battery life; 2. Bluetooth is disabled or gets stuck; 3. Outdated software on device; 4. The nib is loose on your Apple Pencil. To check if you turned off Bluetooth, go to Settings > Bluetooth > Apple Pencil. If you do not see it turned on, click that toggle! Obviously you can check to see if the iOS needs updated again on your iPad, if those do not work. Lastly, check your pencil to see if the tip “nib” has been damaged and is loose. If that is the case, you may need to pay for a new one. That is why I bought an older leather Apple Pencil cover to protect the nib. I do not think they made a new non-leather version yet, so keep that pencil nib protected some other way.
