“Is the apple pencil 2nd generation compatible with the ipad air 2018?”

• No the 2nd gen will not work with that iPad. You would need to use the 1st gen apple pencil.

• I'm not sure,I know when I purchased this pencil the sales sales guy said for the iPad I have which is the iPad Air 11, that I could only use this pencil. I would just ask when you go to purchase a pencil. I do know the 1st pencil is a lot less money.
