Apple Pencil 1st Generation is the one to use.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Business Insider magazine says: “Not every iPad supports the Apple Pencil. And even the iPads that do work with Apple Pencils don't support both versions — only one Apple Pencil version is compatible with any given iPad.” So I looked yours up: yours is only compatible with the first generation ApplePencil given the information you’ve provided. But at least there’s a good stylus out there. Even if it’s not the newest version. The 1st generation pencil is better than nothing! Colin
