• We have the 11 inch ipad pro in an otterbox case with screen protector and the 2nd generation apple pencil works great! There is a flap that lifts up on the otterbox case and the pencil fits right in and stays put with the magnet. If you want to keep it attached, the flap does remain lifted up...it isn't like a little compartment. We have had no problems. Stays put and charges just fine.

• Yes it will still work. However it may not charge if the charging side of the Ipad is blocked
