Nope, no, it will not. I’ve seen a lot of press talking about how the 6th gen ipad is compatible with the Apple Pencil. But they rarely specify that it is only compatible with the first gen pencil. 2nd gen Apple Pencil does not work with the 6th gen ipad.

No. It only works with the new iPad Pros. Not even backwards compatible with the 10.5" and 2nd gen 12.9" iPad Pros.
