• That should work as long as the SIM card in the Android phone is the same kind that the iPhone uses. Both probably use a Nano SIM card.

• Yes, you should be able to switch your sim card over since this phone is GSM unlocked. You still might want to ask T-Mobile if your sim card is IMEI specific, it probably is not but just to be safe you might want to ask them before you purchase a new phone.
