• Yes, I use it regularly on my WiFi to answer calls, text search the web and manage email. Off WiFi I tether it to a carrier contract phone to play video games.

• Yes. I use it mainly tethered to my contracted phone to play Pokémon out and about. At home on WiFi while my main phone is plugged in charging I use this phone to answer texts and take phone calls.
