• Typically it means that the unit is inspected, repaired if needed, diagnostics are run and it is reset to factory defaults, so that behaves as a new device when first booted up. Missing accessories are usually replaced as well. Units that are sold as refurbished may be units that have been returned by customers or units that have been returned unopened to the manufacturer to fix a known defect. Warranty and the definition of "refurbished" can very by manufacturer and country.

• Refurbished basically means returned to the way it left the factory be careful buying refurbished you may buy a lemon
