“I'm trying to change from an Android to an iPhone like this one. How does it work for me to change it? Do I do anything with the Android SIM card or will the phone not even work because I did not previously posess an iPhone? BTW I am on cricket wireless.”

You should be able to transfer your simcard to your new iphone. if you are confused there are videos on youtube, and articles online.
