The standard lightening connectors like what you use for AirPods and iPhones won’t work for this remote. You’ll have to get a USB-C cord, which I bought mine for I think $6 and it wasn’t an apple brand either. Works just fine

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This Apple TV Remote indeed has a USB-C port, and if you're having trouble charging it with the USB-C charger that came with it, consider the following: Correct Orientation: Just like with Lightning connectors, USB-C connectors should be inserted in the correct orientation. Make sure the USB-C connector is aligned correctly with the port on the Apple TV Remote. Check the Port and Cable: Inspect both the USB-C port on the remote and the USB-C cable for any debris or damage. If there are any issues, clean the port gently and use a different USB-C cable to see if the problem persists. Use Original Accessories: Although you can use other USB-C Power block adapters, whenever possible, use the original USB-C cable and charger block that came with the Apple TV Remote. While USB-C is a universal standard, using Apple's original accessories can ensure compatibility and proper functionality. Contact Support: If you've tried the above steps and are still facing difficulties, it's advisable to contact Best Buy, or Apple Support for assistance. They can provide specific guidance based on the model and version of the Apple TV Remote you have.
