A:Answer I have read complaints about slow write times associated with the SanDisk Extreme SSD, but they have all been from Windows users. I bought a 1TB portable SanDisk SSD that includes a Thunderbolt cable, along with an adapter that makes it compatible with older USB ports. It is very fast, in my opinion. I think the difference would be negligible on a Mac, and Apple accessories being notoriously expensive, I'd save my money.
