However, the caveat is that you will need to make some BIOS setting adjustments in the Security Settings to allow and enable Thunderbolt devices to be connected. I learned this the hard way with my X1 Gen6.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If you have existing devices with Thunderbolt 1 and/or 2, this device will work for your Lenovo’s Thunderbolt 3/USB-C port. The transfer rate may be slower on the older displays since Thunderbolt 3 touts a 40 Gbps transfer rate ( compared to 10 & 20 Gbps for Thunderbolt 1&2 respectively), but I haven’t tried it on a display personally.
