No- your 2016 MacBook Pro uses Thunderbolt3 - The adapter from Apple is for Thunderbolt 1 and 2 devices - They are not compatible without a second adapter to step the TB2 port down to Type-C/Thunderbolt3 - You're better off with third party Type-C to Ethernet adapters. Apple never made one. Belkin makes a good one available here on BestBuy.com
