Can this be used on any laptop with the c connection null

In general I would expect this to work fine, unless the OS lacks adequate support. I use mine on a 2019 MacBook Pro 13.3 and for my son on his MacBook Pro. And, I have a similar device for my HP Spectre x 360 with Win 11 Pro.
