Yes. Apple TV + is Apple's streaming service. Just like Hulu and Netflix stream shows. Apple TV + however has shows exclusive to Apple only and can't be watched on other platforms. If you use iTunes Movies or iTunes TV shows on the Apple TV device....you will have to have an Apple ID and payment account to rent or purchase those movies or TV shows that are NOT on the Apple TV + streaming service.
