• Yes you need a 4k resolution TV to see content in 4k. The 4k Apple TV will simply output content at a lower resolution if a non-4k TV is detected during setup. The resolution/colorspace/fps settings can be adjusted from Apple TV’s Audio & Video settings but keep in mind that if you select certain outputs then contect will appear incorrectly or simply not at all on an incompatible display.
