“does the battery need to be recharged or is it plugged in and charging continuously”

• Main unit is always plug in therefore it always has power. The remote has a rechargeable battery built in. Once it is fully charged, it will last a long time before needing to be recharged. I wish more companies would include a rechargeable battery with their product instead of two AA batteries.
