Do you get all local channels null

Apple TV doesn’t provide local channels on its own. You can access local channels through streaming apps like YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, Sling, or network-specific apps (ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX) if you subscribe to them.

No you get local channels from your tv, this is similar to a fire stick or Roku Or something like that. Apple offers I believe 6 months free Apple TV when you buy one
