Yes, I have used mine with a 4K TV for the last 20 months, it will only send a 1080p signal to the 4K TV though so you are not taking advantage of the TV's full capability.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you can use a 4k Apple TV with a 1080p TV and you'll be ready when you do go to a 4k screen
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can use a 1080P Apple TV (3rd or 4th gen) with a 4K TV but you’ll only get a max resolution of 1080P.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can use the previous versions on a 4K TV. You just won’t get 4K content. I suppose you can get 4k quality if your tv can upscale. I have the 2015 version and I use it with my 4K TV.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can use the non 4K Apple TV with a 4K ready tv.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You need a 4k tv with hdr to fully use the capability of apple Tv 4k, a non HDR 4k tv will work also but you will not see HDR enabled in applet tv 5. you will also need to buy a certified hdmi cable with 18Gbps throughput. If you have appletv 4 it will work fine with iTunes with 1080p content.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Just noticed I misunderstood the question. You can use your Apple TV 4 1080p with a 4k TV but you won't get any 4k content. If you want 4k netflix and want 4k movies from iTunes you'll have to upgrade to the 4k Apple TV. Sorry!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can use the 4th Gen Apple TV (HDMI 1080P) with your 4K TV, it will just show content in 1080P instead of 4K. I used my previous 4th Gen Apple TV with my 4K TV for the past 9 months. I just upgraded to the new 4K HDR and see a big improvement with the HDR enabled.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
