“What is the advantage of the 64GB over the 32GB? From my understanding, movies are not stored on the device, so is the storage only use for music and apps?”

It’s mainly for apps. It’s worth getting the 64gig since it’s not much of a price difference.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It's mostly used for apps. In early 2017 Apple increased the app size limit from 200MB (0.2GB) to 4GB. So if you plan on installing a lot of apps, games specifically, then the larger size is going to be beneficial. From my understanding the storage is also used as a cache for streamed content. If you plan on doing mainly streaming then the 32GB is fine.
