- Answer It depends on the generation you get. If you’re like me and always looking for a deal I highly suggest asking if there are any ‘open box’ Apple TV’s. That’s what I did; I think at this point in time mine is a generation behind but it was a great deal plus there are software updates.

- Answer The only thing you need to hook one up to a TV is an HDMI cable and a HDMI port on your TV. You don’t have to have a smart tv.
