• With the iPad 2 and iPhone 4s you can mirror whatever is on the device to your TV screen as long as all devices are on your home network. I do this with the iPad 2 and it is great. My iPhone is a 3GS so no luck there other than music.

• This is usually done via Airplay. You'd have to check your apps to see if they support Airplay... your mileage may vary.

• No, it only can airplay stuff like music and videos. For your iPad, apple sells an hdmi cable for showing everything through your tv.

• Yes!!! Very easily and good quality. Not blu-ray quality, but very good none the less. I use mine on 65" HDTV and I'm satisfied. Would look even better on a smaller tv.
