Will this work with the MacBook Air? null

No. Just talked with Apple Support. Adapter was designed for use on hardware without a 3.5mm jack. Purchased this adapter not knowing. It did not work on the ‘19 MacBook Air OS 15.?(Catalina). Plan was to allow use of two sets of earbuds to share tunes. Support person recommended using a splitter.
