There is no way to definitively answer this question without knowing the exact model of Sony TV you have AND the device and exact make and model you are trying to use as the source for the display. It's common for people to want to use their flatscreen TV as a display from their smartphone or laptop computer. If that is what you are trying to do and it is a smart TV, that is generally done via your wireless network by mirroring, not through a cable. There are some cabled options from computers to flatscreen TVs, but they would generally require a cable much longer than this (it is only about 6 inches) and may or may not be the right connectors.
