The Apple brand 5W USB Power Adapter I purchased is appropriate for use (along with any Apple USB cable) to charge any Apple Watch, iPhone or iPad. So, yes, this model will charge your iPad. Apple recommends using only Apple brand products or Apple certified products. I agree with the recommendations because I’ve heard some reports of damage and/or malfunction(s) when other accessories have been used with Apple products, as they may not be entirely compatible.and/or they might be of an inferior quality that fails during the course of usage.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I use this for both my iPad mini and my iPhone.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I only buy Apple products to use with my devices. Sometimes the really cheep “cutcie “ adapters can cause issues with my more pricey devices
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you will need a compatible 12 watt USB AC adapter for your iPad.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don’t know if it physically matters in terms of actual charging, but if you don’t use the right one and have battery issues Apple can say you voided your warranty and not fix it. I wouldn’t risk it myself.
