If it wasn’t functioning before the damage and you are still within warranty you can try asking Apple to fix it. If you’re out of warranty and the damage caused the loss of touch sensitivity, you can get the screen replaced through Apple I think it’s like seventy dollars if you have Apple care. Not sure how much it or with out. Good luck.
