The Apple Watch Series 10 has an Always on Display (AOD), enabled by default. This means the screen will remain on, even when you're not interacting with the watch. As soon as you tap the display, or raise your arm, the display will brighten to its regular brightness. The AOD brightness is not adjustable, but the regular brightness is. See this article from Apple: https://support.apple.com/guide/watch/adjust-brightness-and-text-size-apd127ec93ac/watchos Also, the watch has some auto brightness for some situations like dark rooms versus sunlight.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It has a built-in ambient light sensor that controls just how bright the screen will be. Manual brightness adjustment is limited.
