Yes, it tracks both... if you want this information to remain on your home screen after your running workout, you will have to download a third party app. You can easily check on both throughout the day by going to your “activity” app on your watch or phone and scrool down.

Although you need an iPhone, it’s the best Fitness device I’ve used. With Health in mind like the First Over the counter ECG that’s FDA Approved (available later in software update) and Fall detection. It’s more than just a fitness device
