Your choice. Like the previous version, you can get a watch that is GPS enabled only that will sync with your current iPhone (connected by BlueTooth), or you can get a GPS + 4G that uses it's own dedicated phone number. The only real advantage to the 4G watch is that you can use the phone on your watch ( a-la Dick Tracy) when you leave the phone on your kitchen counter. Helpful if you like to go running without lugging your phone around... or when you're surfing...with your watch on.
