How does this watch detect a person has fallen null

It must sense sudden hard motion because it asked if I had fallen when I hit something hard with a hammer. The nice thing was that I could respond whether I needed help or not before it alerted anyone.

With the help of accelerometer and gyroscope, this watch will detect a person has fallen.
