Your mobile carrier assigns another number to your new watch but when you set it up with the watch app on your phone it syncs with your phone and acts like your phone and rings in sequence when you receive a call on both the phone and watch. Remember they charge you $10/mo. For cellular connection and is probably how they justify the watch as a new device by assigning a number to your watch which shows on your bill as a device.
