• You can’t take a blood pressure with just the watch, you have to have a blood pressure device like the Omron Evolv that will physically measure your BP. If you have both of those then you can use the Health app to monitor your BP.

• Yes. You do have to have an Apple iPhone in order to view your health stats on your phone. Your iPhone also must have the compatible and up to date OS. I believe the iPhone 6s is the earliest compatible iPhone you can use an Apple Watch with, as long as you have the latest firmware.
