• I don't know about a land line, but my series 6 Apple watch is certainly tied to my iPhone 8. I get all the e-mails, messages etc any thing that is on my iPhone, like Ring Doorbell, security, I get constant updates and alerts. I am still learning how to use and access everything,. It is my firt Apple Watch.

• Definately. I purchased a similar watch and activated to my wife's current phone line. The watch will have its own phone number on your carrier bill but still ties in to your main phone number so don't be alarmed when you get your first bill.
