“What’s the difference between gps and cellular?? Can I still receive text messages on the one with only gps or do I have to get the cellular one for that feature”

Yes, you can still receive and reply to text messages on the GPS version. I read that you only need the cellular version if you plan to make calls without having your phone with you.

As long as you are within WiFi or Bluetooth range of your phone then you will receive messages. If you plan to go on long runs without your phone then you will need the cellular.

The gps only requires your phone to be nearby. Cell does not.
