Not limited. I didn’t activate cellular at all.

ATT, Verizon and T-Mobile support the watch. Not sure about other carriers.

As long as your carrier offers number sharing or dedicated numbers to wearable devices, it's not locked down to a single carrier.

As from Apple Watch is ready to sync with any carrier so long as they support wearables (watches)
