You get price discounts (Big ones) or SOMETIMES in rare cases, replacements. Hope this helps :) P.S. Apple care is an additional charge on top of what you already bought. Depending on the product you bought, it ranges from 79-212 bucks in my experiences

If say, one earbud stopped working completely, you would take it/send it to apple to have it replaced. They will fix or replace the earbud at a $29 cost max, if not free depending on the issue. As for the case, same thing. If it stops working, they inspect it to find the issue and fix or replace it for the same $29 or free. As for if its $29 or free it depends on what causes the issue. If its a consumer caused issue (ie, you left them in your pocket and they got washed with your clothes), they will probably charge for it. But if its just it stopped working randomly without explanation, they will replace the broken object for free.
