- Answer I have not experienced that because I have always been told that you should not apply pressure when brushing, especially with a powered toothbrush.

- Answer The brush itself is charcoal, but I do not think it would hurt doing so. I have thought of purchasing charcoal toothpaste to use along with it as well.
